I’m Megan! I’m Blu’s full-time Client Service Specialist. Even though our opening was a whirlwind, I’ve really enjoyed getting to greet the clients over the past few months. (I can’t wait to meet so many more of you!) I thought I’d answer a few questions I’ve received about my job at Blu!

What do you do as a CSS?

My job is to help you love your visit to Blu from start to finish — much more than just answering the phones and scheduling. We want to make sure you have a positive and memorable experience. Even if you aren’t scheduled for an appointment, you are always welcome here – even if you just stop by to say “hi!” My hope is that our clients feel relaxed and rejuvenated after leaving our oasis at 1118 6th St.

I also make the CSS schedule, make sure everything is clean and tidy, and try to make the stylists’ lives as easy as possible!

How's working at Blu?

This work environment is special. It’s modern, unique, and relaxing.  Cierra is the one of the kindest people I know, and you will see that she has instilled that spirit within the culture at Blu. I’m so excited to see what is in store for us!

What's your favorite service or product? What's popular?

Honestly, I absolutely love seeing how the client reacts to the services they are receiving… I live for the big reveal! At the front desk, we have a front row seat to all the action. I would say the massages & facials have been a hit… and of course… the salt float. It’s really special because we offer different products and services at Blu than other salons in the area. I love being able to educate the clients on the services and products we offer. There’s so much good stuff! I’ve been loving the Éminence line and trying lots of new products.

What's been a highlight so far?

One of my favorite memories was getting together with all the Blu Babes to do our photo shoot with Erica Lynn Photography. It’s been so fun getting to know each other — I didn’t know any of the girls prior to working at Blu! It’s a really positive work environment.

Is it different than you expected?

Honestly, I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I started this new job at Blu. Most days I assumed I would just be behind the desk, waiting to greet clients… but most days you’ll find me all over the salon + spa, helping wherever I can! The days go by so quickly and I love the conversations I have every day! Every day is different; I’ve had to learn how to balance and prioritize. I like the challenge… and the organizing!

What's your piece of advice for new clients?

When visiting us the first time, always allow yourself extra time as we would love to give you a full tour of our space… and treat you to some of our delicious coffee!
